SAN FRANCISCO
I spent four days in San Francisco in early September of 2024. I was super lucky with the weather having constant sunshine and a temperature that lingered around 21°C. Despite being on the west coast, the city climate is heavily affected by the bay, making it much more mild than other cities in the vicinity. This is perfect conditions for walking around the city in my opinon. But bring layers nevertheless, it can get chilly.
Crash Course
San Francisco is a major city in Northern California It sits on the tip of a peninsula surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay. The city is famous for the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, cable cars, and its historic neighborhoods like Chinatown and the Mission District (and super steep hills).
San Francisco is a hub for technology, with Silicon Valley nearby, and it’s known for its progressive politics and environmental initiatives. The city’s economy is driven by technology, finance, tourism, and its thriving arts scene.
